Module 7 – VILLAGE LIFE

 

Description:

While in Malawi, allow yourself to experience the Malawian rural way of living and:

            - walking through the gardens and fields

            - helping preparing dinner on a wood fire

            - sleeping the basic-style

            - waking up to the crowing cock

            - collecting water from the river (on your head – that’ll save you a shower)

            - enjoying the outside bathroom

            - eating a local breakfast

            - working on the land

            - transport home by matola (you will get a ride back to Matunkha in the back of the pick-up)

 

 

Your Malawian host family is very friendly and caring. You will share your room with other people from your group.

Group size is 2 persons per Malawian family.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Timeframe:

On day 1 you leave after lunch, you will use a GPS to guide you and find the family after 2.5 hours walking. Your luggage will be brought to the village by Matunkha.

On day 2 we will collect you just before lunch.

 

If wished for, a guide can bring you to the village at an extra cost of € 8 per group.

 

 

Costs:

This one-night, two-day safari costs € 20.00 per person
