Matunkha Safaris Conditions 

 

1. Matunkha Safaris accepts bookings for the Lodge, Restaurant and Tourism activities  (herein after described as ‘activities’) as described electronic or in print subject to the following conditions. By confirming the booking, the Guest accepts these conditions.

 

2. A booking is confirmed as soon as the Guest has paid a deposit of 25% and Matunkha Safaris has confirmed the booking and payment.

 

3. All information given electronic or in print is given in good faith and shall not form any part of the confirmed booking.

 

4. The Guest is responsible for a valid passport, visas, permits and other certificates as might be required. Matunkha Safaris shall not be responsible for changes in regulations or requirements for visas or other official documents. The Guest is responsible to obtain the necessary insurances with a reputable insurance company.

A copy of all official documents should be handed over to Matunkha Safaris before the start of an activity.

 

5. The Guest is responsible for the necessary inoculations and malaria prophylaxes as required or generally recommended in relation to the countries to be visited. A health passport should be part of the travel documents.

Matunkha Safaris shall not be responsible for any health problem, personal injury or damage that existed before the activity or will occur during the activity and shall not be responsible for any cost incurred or to refund the price paid for the activities.

If Matunkha Safari considers a guest unsuitable for an activity it may cancel such booking and refuse to continue the activities.

 

6. The Guest will comply strictly with all the laws, customs and foreign exchange restrictions of any country visited. If the Client breaks those laws or is detained by the local authorities for an alleged breach of those laws,

Matunkha Safaris shall not be responsible or liable for any consequence.

 

7. When a Guest makes a booking on behalf of others (s)he will be liable for the payments of such bookings.

7.b. Changes or amendments to the Client’s booking will incur a 50 US Dollar charge per amendment. Any request received less than 10 days before departure of the original booking will be treated as a cancellation. All requests for amendments must be in writing and signed by the Client, and takes effect from the date received by the Company.

 

8. Changes or amendments made after the booking has been confirmed will incur a 25 Euros charge per change. Cancellation of a booking after confirmation will take effect from the date the Company receives a written notification.

Cancellation charges:    
Before confirmation: none

Up to 8 weeks before the start of the activity: the amount of the deposit

Between 8 and 0 weeks before the start of the activity: Full amount of the activity.

 

9. The Guest shall the pay the balance of the total price not later than at the start of the activity to a legal representative of Matunkha Safaris.

 

10. The luggage and personal properties of the guest are solely the responsibility of the guest. When another company is used, the Guest shall follow the regulations of that company. The Guest will accept the authority of the tour leader as appointed by or on behalf of Matunkha Safaris or its legal appointed representative

 

11. Matunkha Safaris reserves the right to change prices up to the day of departure. If during an activity additional expenses incur that are beyond the control of Matunkha Safaris such expenses must be born by the Guest

 

12. All activities are subject to change if necessary because of factors beyond Matunkha Safaris’ control including, but not limited to exchange rates, political unrest, border closures, airline departure time changes. Where possible Matunkha Safaris will notify the Guest. Matunkha Safaris reserves the right to changes activities if it is in the interest of the Guest.

 

13. The Guest accepts that all activities undertaken are done at own risk. Matunkha Safaris will take all reasonable precautions to provide for the Guest’s safety.

 

14. If a Guest has a complaint, (s)he should bring it first to the representative of Matunkha Safaris. If the Guest thinks that the complaint has not properly dealt with, (s)he shall notify Matunkha Safaris in writing within 30 days of completion of the activities

 

15. No person or organization has any authority to change or alter any of the above conditions, information or itineraries on behalf of Matunkha Safaris.
